WHO WE ARE

Indy.jpg

We are set up specifically for rescuing Dogs in need, where other charities or organisations are unable to take them. We receive no consistent funding and rely solely on the kindness of our supporters - in both Monetary & food supplies. We run weekly to fortnightly stalls selling raffles to raise funds for our dogs & vet bills.

All dogs require Property inspections for adoptions & re-homed dogs, if renting Land Lord permission is required to be sighted / copy provided for records.

All of our adoptions are required to complete an application form & when adoption is successful new owners will be provided copies of the official adoption papers.

Adoption Fee - up to $300.00 (depending on desexing / reg etc.)

Re-homing Assistance Fee - no charge however a donation is appreciated

We are always needing help, from volunteers to help with fundraising / fosters to open their homes to dogs .....if you can volunteer your time, have goods or money to donate, or think you may be of assistance in other ways then please contact us now!

New Foster homes for our incoming rescues are always welcome - just email us & we will send you our foster interest form. Everything is provided to our fosters - food bedding medical care for the animal etc, we just need family homes to open their doors to these pups to show them humans are good.

REHOMED 💜

Man this pup is a stunner!!!! Those markings 😍

Everyone meet Kevin....
Kevin is only just on a year old and is mix breed staff/collie/ bull mastiff.
His owners are making a heart breaking decision to find him a home as he needs more than they can offer due to their current health issues.

He needs a strong owner and someone who can spend more time on his training.
He loves kids but is too jumpy for small kids at the moment.
He is an active lad, so an adventurous home who will provide him loads of exercise would be perfect.

Hes a loving dog who would make a fantastic addition to a loving family. He is desexed, chipped, registered and fully vaxed.

If you can offer Kevin a great home (decent fencing to keep him safe) please get in contact and we will put you in touch with his family.

LOCATION; Dunedin

Please note he is not in our care we are assisting with finding him a new home

REHOMED 💜

AGE 11ish months

BREED spaniel / foxy

Hello, my name is Tess and I am looking for my new family.

I'm an easy going girl, so my foster parents tell me.

I love people & am happy to share my couch with you.

I like to sleep in my crate at night, and will sleep right through the night.

I am still young and like to be entertained. Don't leave your shoes unattended unless you like to have no laces and air-conditioning puncture holes....

I quite like to sit on in the window seat & watch what's happening outside & playing with soft toys that i can chew. I will chase a ball, but then I loose interest in it.

I get slightly nervous when I'm left on my own. I have a fear of not being left behind, so i need secure fencing 130cm or higher with no large gaps. My foster mum has found I can squeeze through sheep wire fencing.

I love my walks, I get 2 a day.

I've met foster mums horse, and her parents dog. I like her and enjoy playing.

Im doing better better at meeting other dogs, first off I wasn't really sure how to act around other dogs.

My foster mum would suggest having a doggy friend in my new home to keep me company or someone who's home during the day.

  • property check will be undertaken to ensure the fencing is suitable for me

  • Adoption fee will apply to cover vet bills etc

  • Application form needs to be completed in order to be considered for my new home.

If you think that your home could be my new home, please get in touch with One by One Rescue. Make sure you give them your email address so they can send you my application

ADOPTED

Kobe is 1 yr old, And is a smithfield/Beardie X male. He is desexed, registered and microchipped.
Kobe is a playful dog, loves his toys and is good with other dogs with the proper introduction. He will bark to get your attention if you are not interacting with him enough.
He will chase cats and chickens if they run, however if chickens are contained he is fine with them.Kobe is happy to sleep inside and is crate trained for this or alternatively in a kennel and run outside, both he considers to be his safe space.
His ideal home would be somewhere he gets lots of attention, lots of interaction and exercise such as an active family or lifestyle block. Kobe initially wasn't interested in working as he was too young, but given his drive and smarts could be something he could do with being older.
Kobe is located in the Dunedin area and is able to travel.
Property inspection is required
If you can offer am active lifestyle for Kobe, please get in touch.

ADOPTION UPDATES

WINSTON UPDATE

We are so proud of this boy and how far hes come since he first came into care. A year ago we thought we had found him the most fantastic home, sadly this was smoke and mirrors and Winston ended up being passed between homes and found his way back to us.... Winston is currently undergoing training to be an AFB detector dog. AFB is a disease that effects bees and hives.
Once his training is all complete and successful, Winston will be a working boy which is what he truly needed. A job to keep his busy mind active and a family who will love him unconditionally ❤

We could not be happier for this dude who has come such a long way.... Love you Tiny ❤
